The Calvary Choirs’ primary job is to lead the community in liturgies that glorify God, move the heart and challenge the mind—all with great variety, color and reverence. Adult, children and youth singers work diligently and with great intensity to prepare and offer the finest music in a variety of styles and expressions. We strive to grow musically, spiritually and in community and will continue to explore new ideas for the future, co-creating a vision that allows the music ministry of Calvary Church to grow in service to the parish and the greater Summit community. Calvary Choir

The Calvary Choir is the primary liturgical choir at the Sunday 10:30 Eucharist and on major Feast Day celebrations. The Choir also sings occasional services of Choral Evensong. Comprised of volunteers with a core of professionals, the Choir sings music from a span of more than four hundred years in a variety of styles. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm.
The Calvary Chorale
The Calvary Chorale is an extension of the Calvary Choir with additional singers from the community. The Chorale sings several concerts and special services throughout the year, often with orchestral accompaniment. It was founded in 1973 by then Organist-Choirmaster Howard Vogel and for the last forty-four years has presented a wide array of choral repertoire from across the centuries. Chorale concerts are funded entirely by generous supporters.
Calvary Chorister Program
The Calvary Choristers (grades 2 - 6) follow the curriculum for the Royal School of Church Music in America, learning basic musicianship, vocal technique, our liturgical heritage and leadership skills. They will sing at the 9:00 am Eucharist each Sunday and will occasionally join the Calvary Choir and sing with the soprano section at the 10:30 am Eucharist and some special services. Rehearsals are TBA. No affiliation with Calvary is necessary to join, and membership from throughout the community is encouraged.
