The Benedictines of Calvary Church explore the ancient monastic Rule of St. Benedict that speaks with clarity and relevance to men and women of the 21st century. The Rule of St. Benedict is not a book of “rules” but a practical and compassionate guide for Christian living that provides clarity in how we can form a Gospel-focused life. The group members read and discuss the chosen books about Benedictine Spirituality as well as pray together. Prior knowledge of the Rule is not necessary. Group members are asked to purchase the books which will be around $32. Financial help is available if needed. We meet on the second Wednesday of the month from September through May from 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the multipurpose room.
