The word Tenebrae is Latin for shadows or darkness. This ancient liturgy recalls the scriptural accounts of Christ's crucifixion when "darkness came over the whole land.” Candles are extinguished as scripture and music recount the events of Holy Week, symbolizing Christ’s growing sorrow. Join us.
