Sacred Space for Summit

Calvary Episcopal Church is a community of faith in the heart of Summit. We seek to be a sacred space for the greater Summit community, bringing the heart of Christ into the heart of the city by offering a broad array of spiritual, educational, artistic, civic engagement, and service opportunities to the greater community. We welcome all without regard to religious affiliation. We seek to provide a place for all people to deepen their faith, encounter God, and experience the beauty of holiness and the holiness of beauty in art and music through concerts, worship, and other special events.

Musical Groups in Residence

The Larks

A women’s ensemble sponsored by the Junior League of Summit, the Larks also use our choir room for rehearsals. The Larks were formed over 30 years ago by the Junior League, a community service organization, and perform many concerts each year at venues such as retirement and nursing homes.

Concord Singers

Concord Singers is a women’s community chorus. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings in the Calvary choir room at 7:15 pm. New members are always welcome. The repertoire is varied and includes sacred and secular music by composers ranging from Beethoven to Gershwin and other contemporary composers.
